Eva Muraya is the Founder and CEO of BSD Group, an award-winning brand strategy and communications firm comprising four companies: Brand Strategy & Design Ltd, Avid Public Relations Ltd, Whiteboard Advertising Ltd, and Brandquad Africa Ltd. A serial entrepreneur, she co-founded Color Creations Ltd, the first advertising and branding company in Sub-Saharan Africa to achieve ISO 9001:2001 certification.
With over 25 years of experience in business advisory, brand innovation, and communication management, Eva has spearheaded branding initiatives for local, regional, and global companies. Her expertise includes brand repositioning, sustainability, crisis communication, media strategy, and corporate PR. She has received national and international recognition for her leadership and business innovation.
In 2021, BSD Group partnered with Ipsos Ltd to launch the “Top 100 Most Loved Brands by Women in Kenya” study, aimed at highlighting women’s consumer influence. The study gained wide validation and plans to expand regionally. Eva also served as the former Director of KEPSA and co-founded the Kenya Association of Women Business Owners (KAWBO), championing supplier diversity and women’s economic empowerment.
She is a member of the Women on Boards Network, promoting gender diversity in board leadership, and a former chairperson of Zawadi Africa Education Fund, supporting higher education for underprivileged girls. Eva’s leadership has earned numerous accolades, including the Eve Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, the MSK Warrior Award, and recognition in the WIE PowerList and CEO Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Business.
Under her leadership, Avid PR has won multiple awards, including the prestigious PRSK Overall Campaign of the Year and recognition at the Africa SABRE Awards. Eva is an Aspen Fellow and an alumna of Columbia Business School, Harvard Business School, and Stanford SEED. She holds a BA in Journalism and Marketing and advanced business management diplomas. A mother of two daughters, Eva is also an active social networker and a member of Parklands Sports Club.
