Richard Vaughan was trained as a documentary director at the BBC in London. In the early 1980s he started to work in a freelance capacity for a variety of broadcasters on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1990 he was invited to join the board of directors of InCA in London, where he worked for four years before leaving to set up InCA Africa.

As a television director and writer, Richard Vaughan has worked in sixteen African countries, as well as Europe, the United States, Japan, India, Israel and Greenland. His films have been broadcast in more than a hundred countries around the world, and he has won awards from the British Medical Association, the Royal Television Society, Semana Internacional de Cine Cientifico (Spain) and ITB Berlin.

In Europe and the US, his corporate clients have included Shell; Volvo; Eurotunnel; Scottish Power; the SEMA group and the British Red Cross. I started my career at Ogilvy and Mather, moved to McCann Erickson, then founded Universal McCann East and West Africa prior to striking out on my own and co-founding the Saracen media group. Sammy is currently the Business Development Director of Saracen Marketing Group, a marketing consultancy agency with presence in the three East African capitals and is tasked with the responsibility
of leading account groups and ensuring a high quality output and delivery to clients. Over the span of his career he has worked across different categories of Finance, Healthcare, FMCG, and IT
